The MBN is promoting greenness by awarding official MBN Kelly Green Judge Golf Polos to MBN members who promote carpooling.

Beginning with our 3 judging classes this summer, whoever brings the most people to the event in their vehicle will be given one of the first official Kelly Green Judge Polos.
(ties will be settled by a drawing)

Select contests are also rewarding carpooling judges with the Judge polos, check the details of individual contests to find out who is giving them away.

...founded in September 2007 by representatives with over 50 years combined experience in running sanctioned contests in the Memphis-style barbecue judging. Our mission as the Memphis Barbecue Network is to promote, educate, and enhance the aspects of pork barbecue cooking and competition that are associated with the unique style of Memphis barbecue. We also endeavor to become part of the national and world-wide community of barbecue lovers, whether through competition or friendship. The MBN was formed to provide organization and support for new and existing contests; to provide the contest network with knowledgeable and experienced judges; and to maintain the integrity of judging procedures.

The Memphis Barbecue Network anticipates to sanction 45-60 contests a year. Over 400 teams will compete in these contests. Within the three months of the MBN formation, over 400 judges have signed up to be members. We expect in the coming to months to have nearly 1,000 judging members.
